Every day counts
Every child can learn to read.
The path to fluency involves teachers, parents, and a school community
armed with timely insights and effective resources—backed by research.
Yet, across the world, half of all children are not even minimally literate.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, more than 75% of all children ages 5-9 do not
even attend school and one-fifth of all children are illiterate. In the US,
two of every three students cannot read with proficiency by 4th grade.
All this can change.
A few steps will make a huge difference.

Our Focus
Our Projects
iMlango & R.E.A.L Reader
Through the iMlango project ,over 250,000 students in Sub-Sahara Africa were registered on a digital platform. Working with a new AI-driven diagnostic literacy tool, R.E.A.L.,we are working together to identify critical literacy gaps.
Affordable solutions for teachers, afterschool, and families
Through our collaboration with StoryWorld, we train teachers, afterschool programs, and parents to be effective literacy coaches. We use evidence-based, resources that are scalable and affordable.
Partnering with educational researchers
Our commitment is to provide anonymized outcome data—free or at cost—in order to inform educational leaders and guide policy through our L&L Research Partnership Program.
